I'm now refurbing the Targa panels and prior to new coverings I've had to renew some (most ) of the location tangs as they were in very poor condition.
Anyway, cut the buggers out and resined in new ones and repaired the de-lamination that had occurred due to the metal in the tangs expanding.
I can identify the "D" shape rubber/foam seal that is used on the Targa overlap.
But not this one that is used on the outer edges of both panels (above the door glass on each side)
It's obviously meant to fit into a 90 degree internal corner but I cannot find it anywhere, I have used the useful links section and checked the usual suspects and still no joy, any idea's ???????????????????????????

I've been looking for the same with no luck, I think the early seals were a simple 'p' seal, as these chim' ones

But mine certainly look like yours, could upgrade to the later chimaera seal also on that website

Hi Graham, thanks for the info, I have rung Neil and I'm just waiting for him to get back into the office, I'll give his seals a go, if they work on the Chim and griff they should be ok on the S.
Thanks again.

ps
she's back from the paint shop and looks stunning, now got to get her back together and running properly
Thanks again.

You could try Neil (contact details here). He used to source parts for Dulfords and has started up on his own in the same place as TVRSW in Wellington.
Also try giving Adrian@ a call - details here

trying David Gerald TVR could also be a good ideaAlso try giving Adrian@ a call - details here

The guy who fitted my new hood (Dave the Trimmer) tried them, they hadn't got the correct stuff but sent two lengths of this to try.....Think its Chimaera or Griffith (someone told me they're different), might work but as said earlier, originals not too bad so re-used
Thanks for all of your suggestions and help, I have ordered a couple of trims from Neil, he assures me that these are what replaced the defunct rubber trim on the S targa and was used on the Griff and the Chimp so we will see.
As for piccys, below is before paint (as if you couldn't guess)
And as she is now.
She was originally a Mica Blue (Toyota colour) but now is a Mercedes Met blue (forgotten the code but have it on a can of base colour) so now the really hard work begins putting it all together again.

Has anybody but me noticed that the targa seal above the doors is shaped like;
a girl with pigtails riding a bike
(I was trying to draw it to see if I could source some!)
I think the results of your rorschach tests could be interesting a girl with pigtails riding a bike

That's exactly what Neil supplied but along with a pair of aluminium strips that the rubber slides in to and then glues to the panel.Think its Chimaera or Griffith (someone told me they're different), might work but as said earlier, originals not too bad so re-used
Just curious- does anyone have door seals that actually work? I have the originals in good shape, but there is no way that I can adjust the window and frame low enough to pass under the seal. Any pics of how it should look? I'm trying to figure out if its a seal problem or an adjustment problem...
I saw the rails for the later seals at Racetech. Are they narrow enough to fit in the existing corner?

Is this the targa top to door window ?I saw the rails for the later seals at Racetech. Are they narrow enough to fit in the existing corner?
Mine, the flap piece seems to pass over the top of a partially dropped window then seals where it touches the bulbous part, but there are still gaps, even after raising the window a bit after closing the door, the "quarter light " bit of the frame seems to slip under the seal ok.
